Why Yall Aint Reading My Sh*t?!

Look, in the immortal, sacred, unfiltered words of Ms. Erykah Badu: I’m sensitive about my shit!

And I mean deeply sensitive...like cuss you clean OUT... type of sensitive. Because every single time I hit publish on these think pieces, I am not just putting words on a screen—I am opening up my spirit, packaging up my thoughts, and serving y’all a whole gourmet, five-course meal of my mind. This is my art. This is my soul. This is literally me giving y’all a piece of ME! EAT!!

So why am I looking at the analytics and seeing radio silence?!

Y’all will scroll past a masterclass in social commentary, a deeply articulated breakdown of life, culture, and humanity, just to go like a meme of a cat jumping off a couch. (No shade to the cat, because I probably sent it to you... but come on!) I sit up here, crafting arguments, weaving metaphors, laying out brilliance on a silver platter, and y’all can’t even give it a little click? A little thumbs up? A "Damn, that was deep"? A phone call... a text?!! Nothing?!

The disrespect is unfathomable.

(I tried to insert a middle finger here, but I digress.)

At this point, it’s not even just about the latest post. At this point there is a YEAR worth of pure, unadulterated intellectual gold sitting right here in the archives, just gathering digital dust because y’all are skimming the surface of life. A year of my sweat, my hot takes, my vulnerability, and my best ideas—just waiting for y'all to wake up and tap in.

So, this is your official notice: Get y’all asses in here and READ ALL MY SHIT!

Stop playing with me, stop scrolling past the sauce, and go interact with the art. The link is right there. I did the work, now do the reading!

I need this damn job!

...And let me close this out with something thought-provoking so Akira doesn't flag my shit:

On a more serious note, though—how often do we ignore the voices, the labor, and the mental processing of the people around us until they stop sharing altogether? Taking care of your mental health isn't just about boundary-setting and self-care routines; it's also about creating spaces where we feel seen, heard, and valued by our community.

When you bypass someone's expression, you're bypassing a piece of their sanity. So hold space for the creators in your life, check in on your folks, and protect your peace.

Now go read the archive!
